shrimp and crab chowder

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups seafood or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 pound lump crabmeat, picked over for shells
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
